As an AmeriCorps, my major service project was leading the restoration of the historic African Methodist Episcopal Church, Pleasant Green Church. Located in Hillsboro, WV, Pleasant Green is a gorgeous 19th century Gothic Revival Church that serviced the Black Community of Pocahantas County for decades.
